The organizer needed a practical solution to reduce language barriers for 600 medical professionals from China, Hong Kong, and Macau attending an 8-hour seminar across 2 rooms. The focus was on providing clear, real-time access to spoken content in both English and Simplified Chinese.
Globibo provided Events.Studio Assist with live bilingual AI subtitles in English and Simplified Chinese, displayed directly on the LED wall in each room. The solution focused on live captions, with no AI voice translation required.
Each room had 1 PTZ camera, and the overall setup included 2 laptops, 2 audio interfaces, 2 video capture cards, 1 video controller, and 1 HDMI video splitter. 2 cameramen and 1 video director supported video production across the two rooms.
The solution combined Events.Studio with Zoom and caption overlay, with the client providing the Zoom account. 2 setup and standby operators supported the deployment and event operations.
The bilingual captioning setup allowed participants to follow the seminar content in their preferred language while using the existing event display infrastructure. By focusing on live subtitles rather than AI voice translation, the solution was configured specifically around the seminar’s need for real-time multilingual access.
