The organizer needed a multilingual interpretation setup that could support 5,000 participants across 40 sessions, connect multiple venues, and manage large-scale live language access. The solution needed to accommodate limited space between venues, distributed interpretation requirements, and flexible participant access without relying on physical receivers.
Globibo provided multilingual interpretation and streaming support for a global finance and insurance conference in Sydney, supporting 26 interpreters and 1.5 million minutes of live multilingual streaming. Multiple in-room sessions operated across venues using Brähler DDol2x MKII, Brähler DMic, and Bosch transmitters and receivers.
To address the distance and space limitations between venues, Globibo implemented an Interpreter Hub that centralized interpretation and enabled remote interpreters to support sessions across multiple locations. Audio and video feeds from different rooms were routed through Fiber, IPTV, Q-Sys, and Dante, synchronized at the hub, and distributed to interpreter cabins.
Globibo Events.Studio streamed source audio for AI captions and translations, while interpreters used soft consoles over a dedicated Cisco network. Participants could access audio and captions directly through their own smartphones, removing the need for physical receivers. Around 400 Cisco Access Points supported connectivity across the venues, with live locations managed independently from venue network points.
The setup used 5 parallel Events.Studio servers for audio and AI processing, supported by a customized AI model for fast and accurate translations. The multi-building hub configuration was a first for the Sydney International Convention Centre and required extensive testing and fine-tuning to coordinate the distributed audio, video, interpretation, network, and AI processing components.
