Globibo was entrusted to organize the technical setup for an event of a prestigious Singapore-based university. The primary objective was to facilitate effective multilingual communication between foreign students and local instructors during a significant university event lasting 6 days.

MANAGEMENT OF CHALLENGES

To address these challenges, effective communication, collaboration between technical experts and SMEs, a deep understanding of both technical and user requirements, and flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances are essential.

Globibo is committed to providing flawless and top-tier services to its clients. During this event, the complex wiring in a theatre created several complexities. The entire system had to be re-programmed multiple times to accommodate the requirements of the venue and client.
Furthermore, the older model of the inbuilt mixer needed to be adjusted a lot to work with the conference microphones to avoid unpleasant feedback.

BEST SOLUTIONS

Logistics and Timelines: Coordinating the timely delivery of interpretation equipment to the event venue, especially for remote locations or international events, can be challenging. Non-traditional event venues like this have no proper cargo lift, loading bay, and/or access to the actual site.

Technical Compatibility: Ensuring that the interpretation equipment is compatible with the venue’s existing audio-visual systems, communication infrastructure, and other technology can be challenging. Mismatched equipment or connectivity issues can lead to disruptions. Especially the inbuild loudspeakers did not work well together with the new table microphones.

Space Constraint: The space available in non-traditional event venues is not ideal for Interpretation Booths. The system had to be rather creative to fit the booth into the existing space.

Post-Event Equipment Logistic: After the event, managing the breakdown, packing, and proper storage of all equipment – especially when the venue has to be used quickly again after the event.

Onsite Coordinator
The assignment of the onsite project coordinator fell under the purview of Globibo. This coordinator held the responsibility of harmonizing interactions between all Globibo crew, and the client's event personnel, and offering support to participants in cases of technical inquiries or challenges.

Audio Engineer
Managed the operational integration between the different audio systems. Event Crew from the Client's Side: These individuals took on the role of steering participants through the event's progression during the live demonstration and hands-on engagement.

Client Account Manager
The client's designated coordinator facilitated seamless communication between their part-time or full-time event team and the ultimate client. This role ensured effective time management throughout the process.
