Combining human expertise and AI Interpretation for a medical event in Vietnam

A medical organization conducted a lecture on ophthalmology in Vietnam for 50 participants, bringing together professionals who required clear communication between Vietnamese and English (with human interpreters) as well as AI interpretation for other South-East Asian Languages. Given the specialized nature of the subject, accurate interpretation was important to support clinical understanding, detailed explanations, and active discussion among attendees.

The setup included a complete simultaneous interpretation system with dedicated booths, interpreter consoles, transmitters, and individual receivers with headsets, allowing participants to follow the lecture in Vietnamese/English. With experienced linguists familiar with ophthalmology terminology, the sessions supported precise communication throughout.

Furthermore, AI interpretation was provided to all participants via their personal devices for several additional languages.

This approach allowed participants to stay focused on the medical content, exchange insights confidently, and engage fully during the lecture, with the overall interpretation setup and execution supported by Globibo.
